A cruise is a great idea for someone with itchy feet and the time to indulge it. You can take your time getting to where you are going, enjoy yourself while on board, and have a chance to go ashore at different places. In most cases, leisure cruise ships have complete amenities; many are like floating malls! However, you are a captive audience, so anything you buy on board will be more expensive. Here are 5 things you need to bring on your cruise to keep avoid unnecessary expenses.
Most of the time you have to fly to wherever the cruise will start, and lost or delayed luggage is always a risk. Have a carryall that has all the essentials, including your travel documents, bathing suit, a change of clothing and underwear, and toiletries. That way, you will not miss your boat waiting for your luggage to arrive.
Laundry services are not always complimentary, so you should be ready with a travel pack of laundry detergent. At the very least, you can be sure of clean underwear for the whole of your trip.
Portable steam iron
You should be fine with a couple of cotton shirts, shorts, and other iron-free clothing. However, it pays to be ready. If you like to always present a spiffy look, a steam iron can take care of the worst of suitcase creases in a snap.
You may not need it, but you never know. You do not want to be forced to buy one from the ship’s boutique! Be sure to pack one set of clothes that will pass muster at the captain’s table. Make sure you choose one that will do well in a suitcase, and hang it up as soon as you get to your cabin.
You always have an excellent view of exotic places when you are on a cruise. It would be a shame if you miss some amazing sights because you did not have a pair of binoculars for taking a closer look.
